NCERT UDL Project - 5th to 8th November 2019

ISLRTC provided support to NCERT in developing Universal Design for Learning (UDL)-based learning material for children with special needs. The material is being developed by the Department of Education for Groups with Special Needs, NCERT in collaboration with the National Institute of Special Education (NISE), Republic of Korea. The UDL-based learning material will be made available in print and digital forms and the stories and poems will be made available in ISL. Three resource persons from ISLRTC,  Ms. Andesha Mangla, Assistant Professor, Mr. Islam Ul Haque, Master Trainer (Deaf) and Ms. Khusboo Soni, Master Trainer (Hearing) visited CIET, NCERT from 5th to 8th November 2019 to translate 4 poems and 5 stories from NCERT textbooks into ISL. 

A demonstration of the ISL videos of the stories and poems was done at an inclusive school. The videos were shown to students of classes 1 to 6. The students and teachers praised the ISL content and requested that more videos be made in ISL for school students.
